Looking back on 2014, I have to pinch myself. My life was abundant with blessings. Yes, I worked hard for a lot of the opportunities, but the universe played a wonderful part. Switching careers and planning a wedding were just two things I can look back on and smile.
With the good comes the challenges. I learned a lot about myself this past year. I learned what I can put up with, and what it means to put my foot down. I took risks, some calculated and some just trusting in myself. I learned the importance of letting go...of what I think should be, negativity, and relationships. All in all, I've never felt this strong in my entire life.
This upcoming year, I get to continue with a career that makes me happy and marry my best friend. But I'm not settling. I'll never settle. I'll always be dreaming, working, pushing. I want to be the best person I can be, while building a life I am proud of.
Soooo....here are my goals for 2015. Instead of saying, "I want," I'll say "I will." Because it's all about believing in yourself.
-I will expand my business. I will build a solid brand that represents everything I believe in. I will continue to reach as many people as I can, so I can spread a healthy message. I will help people reach their health and fitness goals, while teaching them self-love and positivity.
-I will have an amazing wedding and honeymoon. Planning a wedding is stressful sometimes, but keeping the bigger picture in mind is what matters. I am marrying the love of my life! We are fortunate to share our special day with friends and family with a beautiful wedding we have both worked so hard towards. Then we get to go to ITALY! I will not let any guilt fog my mind when I'm eating spaghetti and drinking wine. No way, no how.
-I will finish writing my first book. I will begin the process of finding a publisher, and getting my book out into the world.
-I will continue living a life of balance. I will continue to eat healthy, but also indulge in the things I love. Like pizza. Wine. Nachos. I won't let others' lifestyles or food fears/opinions scare me or guilt trip me. I will continue to to be understanding of others, but also understanding of what works for me.
-I will continue trying new workouts and classes to keep my routines fresh, and to also give me inspiration for my training plans. I love that there are so many fun ways to keep fit, and I love trying them all.
-I will keep a positive mind. Being in social media, it's difficult to put up with negativity or cruel comments. However, the sooner I let it roll off of my back, the sooner I can let positive and uplifting thoughts fill my brain.
I'll be ringing in the New Year at home with my future husband by my side. A home-cooked dinner, gelato, wine, and some sparklers are just what we need. It might not be the most exciting plan, but it's what makes us happy.
I hope you have a wonderful New Years Eve, and that you have plans that make your heart happy! I hope you take on the New Year with goals that the mindset of I will do this. Because you can. Did you know that? You can do what you put your mind, your heart, and hard work into. It's all about trusting in yourself and what you are capable of.
