I began my journey in 2010. After developing unhealthy habits in college, I had put on 40 pounds in one year. One day I looked in the mirror and barely recognized myself. It was that moment that I decided to take control of my life. I decided to put myself first. I ditched bad relationships, junk food, and late night partying. I said hello to a gym membership, a pair of sneakers, and nutritious foods.
I lost the weight, but it's what I gained that really mattered...confidence, a healthy mindset, and a new life.
I fell in love with fitness and how it could change lives. I studied to become a personal trainer, so I could help others. Through my studies and experience, I felt confident to enter the world of bodybuilding. I coached myself through my first bikini competitions in July of 2016, where I became nationally qualified.
My greatest accomplishment yet has been becoming a mom to my children. Throughout both pregnancies, I continued to workout and promote an active lifestyle. I wanted to break the stigma that pregnant women can't be fit and strong. Now I hope to show moms that all is not lost and that their bodies can be stronger than ever.
